Extra!32 is a multiple newspaper subscription management system designed for small to medium sized publishers who need a tool to manage the distribution and billing of their subscriber base and for distributors who deliver and bill for one or more publications. It can be used to manage both home delivery and rack/store accounts.
When evaluating Extra!32, use its sample database which is installed by default. It is not recommended that you create your own (yet) since each system needs to be configured in order to meet one's specific needs. In many cases, new users will need to have their existing database (if it exists) into Extra!32 in order to start using it.
TossEm! is a multiple publication system designed for service only distributors who do not bill the subscribers to whom they deliver. Its strengths lie in superior serve list creation and subscriber management; and the management of carriers that are hired by the distributor on behalf of the publisher.
In order to use TossEm!, you must understand its Routing File. The routing file is the heart of TossEm!'s ability to create its serve lists. Read and or print the Routing Tutorial in order to obtain this understanding. Once its concepts are understood, you can create any type of serve list you desire with the same information and functionality of anything you can create by hand.
